History
Ulrich Brunner, from the Brunner farming dynasty, built and ran a B&B pension in the l890s at the very start of the tourism boom in Wengen, catering almost solely for the British. Following the B&B’s success, Herr Brunner and his son built the Hotel Brunner in 1904. The hotel went under a major refurbishment in the 1970s so today the hotel has a mix of early 1900s charm and 70s kitsch. After the sad passing of Margrit Brunner in 2004, the hotel is now run by Malika Brunner, the 4th generation Brunner.
